Why Little Lucy Got Pregnant?

Little Lucy, age 15, got pregnant. Her co-conspirator, Teddy, is her classmate of the same age. Everyone seems to have an answer for why little Lucy got pregnant...

"The school is responsible! The teachers are supposed to keep an eye on things. We have to work day and night to make ends meet. If we had MONEY, we would have put her in a better school where the teachers would do a better job!" her parents sobbed.

"It's the government's fault," her teachers retorted. "They keep cutting our school funding. Now the class size is too big for us to manage. We are not paid enough MONEY to do what we have to do!"

The Director of Social Services replied: "We have to be mindful of our budget. It's the taxpayers' MONEY, you know. Besides, when it comes to morality, I believe it falls in the purview of the Church not the government!"

"True, young people need spiritual guidance," a spokesman from the local Diocese responded. "And we would love to reach out to them, but MONEY is tight these days because donations are dropping."

Finally, we asked Lucy herself: "How come you got pregnant?"

"Well, it's got nothing to do with MONEY," she answered. "Teddy and I are in love. So we made love. What else are we supposed to do?"
