Sports Illustrated China Edition

Bob Choi

22 March 2012

After this reporter was patched up by the doctors in the emergency room (if you don't know what brought him to the ER, please refer to the previous message about Kate Upton), he decided he should conduct a full investigation into Sports Illustrated.  If it can put a sex maniac on its front cover, God knows what else it's been up to?

Thus, this reporter spent endless hours (in great pains I might add) reviewing over and over again the video and photo galleries of all of the 18 S.I. Swimsuit models and many bodypainted athletes of 2012.  His hardwork paid up.  He has made a stunning discovery...

While he found models and athletes who are Caucasians, Africans, Latino or some mix thereof, he failed to find even one who is Asian, particular of Chinese origin.  How many Olympic Gold Medals went to Chinese athletes in the past years?  How many successful Chinese athletes have emerged recently?  The answer is of course "MANY".  The absence of Chinese athletes/models in S.I. can only be the result of blatant discrimination.  They don't think Chinese are good enough to appear in their publication!

What can this reporter do to expose this injustice?  To right this wrong?  He can sue S.I. for discrimination but that will take the courts forever to sort out... remember the civil rights movement in the US?  How long did it take to settle?  How many lives were lost before the Civil Rights Acts were passed?  This reporter has a better idea...

He will devote the rest of his life, every awaken minute of everyday to promote the idea of Sports Illustrated China Edition (Swimsuit of course!).  He had a dream that beautiful athletes/models of Chinese origin would be featured in China's own Sports Illustrated.  If you agree with him and are moved by his personal conviction, you should consider making a donation to support his cause.  You may transfer your money to Bob Choi who has volunteered to handle the finance of this reporter.
