Also about US Politics

US politics is
interesting not because it's often a tug-of-war between the Democrats and
Republicans, but because it's a struggle between the liberals and
conservatives. It's a known fact that people tend to become conservative as
they mature (which is a nice way of saying "as they get old"). Thus,
in a simple analysis, US politics is a fight for dominance between the young
and the old.
Needless to say,
this is an over-simplification as there are for sure young Republicans and old
Democrats, but looking back you will find that most Democratic presidents were
young while most Republican presidents were old.
Long story short,
here's my foolish predictor of US presidential outcome: a Democratic candidate
is more likely to win the presidency if he/she is young whereas a Republican
candidate is more likely to win if he/she is old. We all know Obama is young,
now how about Mitt Romney... is he old enough?
