A Day in the life of a Chinese?

Even living in Kiwiland where ground-breaking news tend to reach last, I’ve heard about these things (see attachment).  A colleague from China told me these things happen but not as common as it is portrayed in the media.

 

But I don’t think the Chinese are the only ones doctoring or adulterating the food-stuff.  Kiwi and Oz food manufacturers are doing much the same thing, albeit not as aggressively or blatantly.  In the Saturday Herald, there is a column called ‘What’s in my food’ which picks a product and completely pulls it apart, to find out what goes in there.  You will be shocked by what the reports tell you.

 

China today is like Japan in the 50s -60s when it got a really bad name for making shonky goods – cheap price equal poor quality.  But look at Japan now.

 

I think China is at the beginning of a steep learning curve and at a phase which I hope will pass them by soon.

 

Otherwise, people in China will die of cancers and poisoning sooner or later.

早起

買兩根地溝油油條,

切個蘇丹紅鹹蛋,

沖杯三聚氰氨奶,

吃完開錦湖輪胎的車去上班。

 

中午

瘦肉精豬肉炒農藥韭菜,

再來一份人造雞蛋鹵注膠牛肉,

加一碗石蠟翻新陳米飯,

泡壺香精茶葉。

 

下班

買條避孕藥魚,

尿素豆芽,

膨大西紅柿,

石膏豆腐,

回到豆腐渣工程房,

開瓶甲醇勾兌酒,

吃個增白劑加硫磺饅頭。

 

飯後

抽根高汞煙,

去地攤買本盜版小說,

來個紙皮做餡的飽宵夜,

回去上一會盜版操作系統網,

晚上鑽進黑心棉被窩。
