Supplemental view on the Asian education model is by no means perfect...

When I was in high school, I found some lectures were boring and some were very interesting.  Every body's boring spectrum is not the same.  No education system can fit all.  High school system cannot produce an Einstein.  Einstein was born to be Einstein at the right time?  Can a bad school-system ruin an 'Einstein'?

Gifted students can be fast-tracked to higher education in many different countries.  Many universities will offer tons of scholarships to attract them.  No matter what kinds of standards will be used to judge achievements, many Asian and Jewish students will work hard to meet the challenge - because of their peers' influence.

When I was in college, I was very much surprised by the 'creativity' of the students and teachers - a classmate got an A for English composition titled 'How high is high?'  Guess what he wrote!
