Check these You Tube videos out. Pretty mean Haka done firstly at the biggest shopping centre in Auckland and secondly at Auckland’s CBD waterfont.

Haka is a traditional war dance performed by the Maoris for amusement, as a welcome for distinguished guest or as an acknowledgement for great achievements or occasions. It’s uniquely Maori. You see it performed at some opening or welcome ceremonies, or at funerals.

The All Blacks – NZ’s national rugby team – performs a Haka every time it plays vs. another national team. It’s very good to watch and adds to the entertainment value of the game. Other NZ national sports team now does the same.

Note the traditional Maori greeting is nose-rubbing where your nose touches that of the other person.
