Peter Wu:

As if the recent earthquake in Wellington is not bad enough, we now have this Botulism-in-milk powder incident.

There is no question about it, we are Poke Guy. Whether we will rise from the street gutter only time will tell.

Dairy makes up one third of NZ?™s exports. The extent of the damage is reflected in the hit the NZ dollar took, as it dropped almost two cents against the US dollar.

As I write, the incident is unfolding. Interestingly, the company which makes the product ??Fonterra ??only took a small hit in its share price, by about 5%.

Tomorrow is another day so I will be glued to the TV to see what further information, if any, we will get from the company and the government.

Bob Choi:

Expect Fonterra share prices to shoot through the roof tomorrow when this news comes out. According to reliable sources, the Botulism-contaminated milk products from Fonterra can be a very effective treatment for wrinkle especially on the face. Simply mix the milk powder in water to work it into a paste. Then cover your face with this paste and leave there for a few hours. Do this at least once a day. Within a week, you will notice a difference. Your wrinkles will disappear gradually. You should continue this treatment indefinitely in order to keep the wrinkles from coming back.

Peter Wu:

This is very funny Bob. It could only come from a quick-witted person like you.You are right in saying that Botox could be derived from Botulism.  I found this out last night. Conceivably, what you said could work. You just need a chemist or a food technologist to formulate the right dose to make it work. May be this is the opportunity of a life time for Professor Lin? Shall we call this new product ¡¥Milk-tox¡¦?
