Another cautionary tale - General Petraus, ex CIA director(2)

Peter Wu & Others

Bob Choi:         Hey, Peter, I really have to tipped my hat to you this time. Only a few days after you said Petreus would not be the only "fall-guy" and now John Allen, another top general is being investigated also involving the same woman, Jill Kelley.

I saw the picture of Jill Kelley. She is the kind that I would love to recruit into my team of "assassins". Who knows? She might even be an undercover agent working for China or Russia... It must be great to be able to take out a few top generals without even firing one single round!

Stella Tse:        Bob, you never know, Chinese are known nowadays to be quite masterful in carrying out various means of espionage.

Bob Choi:         I relish the idea and appreciate the wisdom of Chinese emperors who castrated all the men who worked in the palace. They really knew how to get to the "roots" of problems. Maybe the Pentagon should consider castrating all the top military personel? If they do that, the US will be a bit less hawkish and the world may be a safer place for all. Reason: (1) Most men will leave the military and (2) those who stay and get castrated will tend to be less aggressive. Would somebody please "leak" this message to the CIA...

Tim Ho:             Bob, I don’t quite agree to your second points.

Please re-read the Chinese History. In Ming Dynasty, those castrated men seized the power and drew the downfall route of the Empire. In the history of other Dynasties, we see the the deeds of these man.

Now, I note that in HK news that the recent TVB drama on castrated man is very attractive to audience.

Peter Wu:        You almost need a flow chart to unravel who sleeps and flirts with whom, who is who, who did what, and who investigates what etc.

As far as I can make out, I think this is the (still unfolding) story as I understand it:

a.     General Petraeus was unwittingly caught sleeping with his biographer Paula Broadwell.

b.     Paula Broadwell is alleged to have sent threatening emails to Jill Kelley, another female known to be ‘friendly’ to General Petraeus.

c.     Jill Kelley was also found to have engaged in flirtious email exchanges with another top general – John Allen. There were apparently 40-50 thousand emails exchanged between them.

d.     A FBI agent, I am unsure whether he is involved in the FBI investigation of General Petraeus or not, was caught sending a top-less picture of himself to Jill Kelley.

e.     Are there any more?

What do these tell me? Many:

a.     These characters have been engaging in a lot of ‘extra-curricular activities’ including extra-marital activities – energetically!

b.     These characters must have lots of spare time in their hand. If they are like you and I who are so busily and pre-occupied with making a living and writing daily emails, these extra-curricular activities would not have happened.

c.     These people simply don’t understand one Chinese proverb you and I have been brought up with and that is ‘even an object as dense and water-tight as an egg can produce a chick’. It’s name of them for thinking they have a perfect plan for engaging in an illicit affair.

d.     These people have no sense of honour and responsibility. If I am the spy chief, I will keep all females at arm’s length – In fact I will set up a 1000-metre private exclusion zone so I don’t even get a sniff of their perfume or admire their curves!

I really enjoy these stories as they unfold. I have a warm sense of Schadenfreude as I watch the fall and humiliation of the rich, famous, high-ranking and powerful. They deserve it.

Bob Choi:         The on-going investigation will reveal what I already know: Jill Kelley was born Chiu Kit Li in Shanghai of an inter-racial couple. She was head of her class at the Chinese National Academy of Undercover Agents... the rest you can rely on your imagination!

Stella Tse:        With the election now over, all the media outlets need a big story to fill the void, and they are having a field day thanks to all these generals and women.  This morning, they are talking about Ms Kelley being a honourable consul of Korea, the plot thickens!
