Please
re-read the Chinese History. In Ming Dynasty, those castrated men seized the
power and drew the downfall route of the Empire. In the history of other
Dynasties, we see the the deeds of these man.
Now,
I note that in HK news that the recent TVB drama on castrated man is very
attractive to audience.
As far as I can make out, I think this
is the (still unfolding) story as I understand it:
a. General Petraeus was unwittingly caught sleeping with his
biographer Paula Broadwell.
b. Paula Broadwell is alleged to have sent threatening emails to
Jill Kelley, another female known to be ‘friendly’ to General Petraeus.
c. Jill
Kelley was also found to have engaged in flirtious
email exchanges with another top general – John Allen. There were apparently
40-50 thousand emails exchanged between them.
d. A
FBI agent, I am unsure whether he is involved in the FBI investigation of
General Petraeus or not, was caught sending a
top-less picture of himself to Jill Kelley.
e. Are
there any more?
What do these tell me? Many:
a. These
characters have been engaging in a lot of ‘extra-curricular activities’
including extra-marital activities – energetically!
b. These
characters must have lots of spare time in their hand. If they are like you and
I who are so busily and pre-occupied with making a living and writing daily
emails, these extra-curricular activities would not have happened.
c. These
people simply don’t understand one Chinese proverb you and I have been brought
up with and that is ‘even an object as dense and water-tight as an egg can
produce a chick’. It’s name of them for thinking they
have a perfect plan for engaging in an illicit affair.
d. These
people have no sense of honour and responsibility. If
I am the spy chief, I will keep all females at arm’s length – In fact I will
set up a 1000-metre private exclusion zone so I don’t even get a sniff of their
perfume or admire their curves!
I really enjoy these stories as they
unfold. I have a warm sense of Schadenfreude as I watch the fall and
humiliation of the rich, famous, high-ranking and powerful. They deserve it.
