Non English speakers

Asking for a fork and end up getting a poke.  Wow, that’s exceeds my wildest imagination.

But as non native English speakers, we get ourselves into some tight spots every now and then.

Take the word intercourse as an example.  In itself, this word means nothing more than communication, exchange or connection between people or groups of people.

Somehow, it’s widely taken to mean sexual intercourse.  So it’s terribly impolite saying this to a lady: ‘hey, do you want to have intercourse with me?’

But in theory, you can use the word intercourse on all sorts of things. Examples:

Email intercourse, like what we as a group have been doing, daily.

Text intercourse, like sending texts

Telephone intercourse (Don’t take it as an excuse to have sex with your telephone.  In other words, don’t fcuk your telephone, for God sake)

Letter intercourse

Verbal intercourse andSanta Course’

Of course you can play dumb and use the word intercourse to get a reaction from a lady.  If you want to try this, let me know how you get on!
