Although I do not understand his well recognized mathematical contributions to the modern day "String Theory" which Prof. Shing-Tung Yau (Fields Medalist 1983) described in his nontechnical presentation made at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on September 19, 2003.  I found his presentation covering his early life in Hong Kong, his CUHK days, his graduate student days at University of California, Berkeley with Prof. Chern (陳省身) and his subsequent days at Princeton, Stanford, Harvard and CUHK rather interesting.

I am sure that many of our NMC friends such as Pony Ma who was with Yau at Pui Ching, Berkeley and University of California, San Diego; Wong Man-Yin as an expert in History and also CUHK alumni with Chiu Man-Ming as well as Prof. Bernard Hon and many of our NMC friends would find Prof. Yau's presentation rather fascinating.
