Further evidence China is
turning to Kung Fu diplomacy to take on the Yanks

A friendly
basketball game between Georgetown
University and the
Shanghai Bayi Rockets (which have strong links to the People’s Liberation Army)
has ended in a draw – Oops sorry, a brawl. Several Georgetown University players were badly beaten. The rest of the squad and officials who were not involved in the brawl,
were belted with bottles, chairs, fire-crackers and the world-famous Chinese
spits. Grenades were about to be thrown in the
basketball court but cool head prevailed, as they may injure the Chinese
players too.
How did this
supposedly ‘friendly’ turn into a brawl? Well it was all orchestrated by the PLA with ‘blessings’ from China
State Council. They promoted it as a ‘friendly’ to lure
the Georgetown
players into a false sense of security. But most importantly, to show Vice President Joe Biden, on the state
visit to China,
that China
has not only stood up. It stands taller than the Yanks, financially,
economically, militarily and athletically. Note all Bayi Rocket players were selected for their stature, to ensure
they are all taller than the Georgetown
players.
All Bayi players
who threw punches and kicks will receive a decent bonus, and a specially minted
commemorative Communist Party Patriot Medal for ‘beating the Yanks’. Premier Wen Jiabao will personally
present the medals. See link below.
Good-bye Ping Pong
diplomacy. Long live Kung Fu diplomacy!
