PeterCheung:  I thought all the snow in NJ comes from Canada!!! 

  South Jersey is ok this time. Wai-yee at Scranton, PA may get more snow and icy.  

  Another one is coming on Monday!

Stella Tse:        Indeed this is a most severe winter that I can remember, maybe partly because of the mild winters we've had for the past several years.    

Sue:                  I have been here since end of 1972, I don't remember having a winter that has so many continuous deep freeze days plus such damaging ice storm followed by heavy snowdays.  The combination and the duration of all these events definitely make it one of the worst I can remember. 

The milder winter over the last few years sure makes this one feel harder to accept. So for not sure if this winter can blame it on global warming or just a one of. With this year's experience I think most of us won't mind getting the colder Jan and Feb it use to be without the mild and extreme cold and snow alternate winter season. 

Something good that comes out of it is that we would likely have less Mosquitos this year, we would be more prepared for ice/snow storms, spring and summer will be even sweeter than ever. The beauty of the winter cannot be ignored. Pictures just don't do enough justice as we see the icicles on trees and when rows of trees are coated with layers of white snow ...... Be in the moment to cherish the natural beauty in this part of the world. 

Tim Fook:         Yes, we have talked with friend that for more than 20 years, we don’t have such harsh weather. 

In the daytime, ( though I hire snow shoveling service on my driveway) , I have to shovel the snow twice on the walkway to the door. Last night, I have to shovel the snow barrier of my driveway left by Municipal Road snow-shoveling team. The debris are very heavy. After a few more days, another snow is coming.. 

Peter- cold air is from the North, not from Canada and from Artic Circle. ( warm friendship is from the north and all-round). 

Today is the 7th day of Year Horse and 7th day is the birthday of Human. Happy Birthday to you all. 

Bob Choi:         well, its been on the chilly side here in hong kong as well... 19 degree celsius today! ha! 

Wai Yee:          Just got back from Hong Kong last week. Enjoyed the nice warm (for me) weather while I was there. I was very lucky my flights to and from HK were not affected by all the bad weather. 

We got about 7 inches of heavy snow on Wednesday. Lots of digging out again! My son who works outside of Phila said he only got some ice. He did not lose power like some people around him. 

Can't wait for spring to come! 

Metis Hon:       But alas not cold enough for the tai tais to show off their minks! Cold weather is coming everywhere. Even Portland is snowing with sub-zero temperature!
